What could be better than partnering with a race team? Partnering with Thomas Randle, that’s what!!

Yep, that’s right, we are thrilled to announce that Gerald Slaven Ford is partnering with Thomas from Tickford racing. Thomas is their newest full-time driver and the impressive 25-year-old made a guest appearance to help us open our brand new Ford dealership in Phillip. Showcasing the Tickford Castrol 55 Mustang V8 Supercar, he was nothing but professional with smiles all around.

“We were immediately taken with this young man when we met him late last year” said Dealer Principal Nathan Hayes, adding “watching the way he presented himself and interacted with our customers and our team, we knew he’d be a great ambassador for our Ford Brand”.

Thomas, hailing from Victoria, won the 2020 Super2 title, all while fighting testicular cancer, and now he has the biggest opportunity of his career with Tickford. In fact, he took that same car and hit the mountain for the Repco Bathurst 1000…where he combined with James Courtney to finish seventh.

When the opportunity arose to partner with Thomas, we jumped at the opportunity with our DP, Nathan saying, “We are extremely proud to be supporting Thomas at this stage in his career and are looking forward to seeing great things from him for years to come”. Whilst Thomas resides in Victoria, he is a regular visitor to Canberra and will no doubt be popping up at Gerald Slaven Ford a few times throughout 2022.

When asked about his partnership with Gerald Slaven Ford, Thomas commented that having the Dealership as a sponsor and supporter “is a great fit for me and I’m really looking forward to the relationship developing with Nathan and his team”.
